Never Compromise putters return

Published

on

Dunlop Sports Americas has today announced the relaunch of the Never Compromise Reserve putter line.

Offered only at select golf shops, the Never Compromise experience is built around a unique in-store length fitting process. Each fitting begins by assessing the player’s putting setup using a length fitting tool that helps each golfer address the ball with correct setup and posture. Then, fitters calculate bespoke putter length that’s precision cut to every quarter inch.

Once the ideal length is chosen, golfers can select their preferred head shape and decide between two finish options – NC Contrast, a black and grey finish, or a traditional Tour Satin finish.

Based on the length of the putter, interchangeable sole weights are available to ensure a consistent feel for each putter. Shorter length putters are built with heavier weights, while longer putters are assembled with lighter weights.

Finally, golfers can select from one of three custom grip choices. In many locations, dealers will have the equipment, training, and components available in-store to build the putter that very same day.

“We’re excited to be able to bring back the Never Compromise line and give golfers the opportunity to get a hand-built, entirely custom putter fit entirely for their stroke. Putters are the most used club in the bag, and it’s the one golfers often don’t think to get fit for. With Never Compromise, golfers can simplify their mechanics and produce better results on the greens.” – Dunlop Sports Vice President, Chuck Thiry

Never Compromise Reserve putters are 100% CNC milled from premium, soft 303 stainless steel and individually weighted for ideal balance based on the putter’s length. Never Compromise also features five stroke-specific models to choose from. Models include three toe hang shapes for slight arc strokes, and two face-balanced shapes for straight strokes.

Never Compromise putters are scheduled to launch in North America on February 16, with putters priced at $449.99 each.

Yay! I’m still using a 2006 NC Milled Series #5 as my primary putter. Despite having owned numerous other brands over the years the Never Compromise is still a superior wand.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
