Whoever puts these WITB’s together makes lots of mistakes. Why doesn’t someone double check them before they go up? Henley plays X100’s in most of his irons (even pictured) but lists S400’s. People come to this site for accuracy.

Details on the TaylorMade x TAG Heuer collab

Published

on

Club junkies and watch enthusiasts, unite! TaylorMade and TAG Heuer today announced co-branded collection, the centerpiece of which is a TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 45mm x TaylorMade Edition watch. The GPS-enabled smartwatch that pairs shot tracking with TaylorMade’s performance analytics.

Interestingly, the watch is designed to automatically capture shots and course position during a round, with the data analyzed through TaylorMade’s strokes gained platform. The goal is to provide players with a clearer picture of where they are gaining or losing strokes, while tracking trends over multiple rounds without requiring manual shot entry during play, according to a press release.

Golf-specific features include displays for longest drive, best score, most recent score, birdies made and rounds played throughout the year. Two exclusive digital watch faces developed for the collaboration draw inspiration from TaylorMade’s Spider putter line and golf course topography.

The hardware also receives several TaylorMade-specific design touches. The 45mm watch uses a Grade 2 titanium case with an engraved 18-hole bezel, a TaylorMade logo on the crown and a blue leather-and-rubber hybrid strap. A second textile strap is included.

Away from the course, the Connected Calibre E5 functions as a premium smartwatch, offering dual-band GPS, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen measurement, smartphone notifications and voice functionality. Battery life is rated at up to 12 hours in golf mode or two days in standard performance mode, with fast charging capable of delivering a day’s use in about 30 minutes.

Of note for GolfWRXers, the release extends beyond the smartwatch. TaylorMade is also introducing a Spider ZT x TAG Heuer putter featuring exclusive cosmetics, including a TAG Heuer alignment aid, topographic-inspired graphics and matching accessories.

The collection also includes co-branded hats, gloves and a duffle bag and is available June 25.
