Tiger Woods, the Fresh Prince of Muirfield Village?
Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar ham and egged their way (with emphasis on the ham) to a 5-and-4 rout of Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman. The story of the day, however, was the recurring celebration between Woods and Kuchar, imitating the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air handshake that Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff made famous.
“I figured he’d be the perfect Carlton,” said Kuchar, explaining the idea behind breaking out the handshake.
Carlton was Will Smith’s nerdy cousin on the show, who lacked the dance moves or cool factor that came naturally to Will.
With a quick analysis of his attempt at recreating the handshake, Carlton was a perfect comparison for Mr. Woods. It’s good to see him having fun out there, but the open-palm move that Tiger pulled leads me to believe he’s either never seen the show or is even dorkier than we originally thought.
Kuchar, on the other hand, is quickly gaining some street credibility. Tough to say he’s the cat’s pajamas, but it certainly looked more smooth than Eldrick.
Assistant Captain Davis Love III didn’t seem interested in any of it. He was more concerned with a squirrel that he met during the rain delay.

AVL: My U.S. Amateur local qualifying experience
This past Monday, I played in the U.S. Amateur local qualifier at Rock Creek Country Club in Portland, Oregon. A full tee sheet from 7:30 a.m. to 1:55 p.m., the top 11 scores would make it to the U.S. Amateur final qualifying.
I teed off at 10:48 a.m.. With the 7:30 am tee time, you can get a feel for the leaders’ pace, and they were off and running on the challenging setup at Rock Creek.

Getting to the highlight of the round on the par five 17th, a drive up the left side and 212 yards left to the front hole location. I took out a 5-iron with plans of middle of the green. The ball ended up 8 feet left of the hole, pin high. A slight downhill putt dropped in for an eagle 3 on the 17th. With the cut line looking to be anywhere from -2 to even par. This was the boost I had been waiting for all day.
With making par from the trees on 18, it was time to wait for a potential playoff with a posted score of one under par 71.
Three hours later, it was playoff time. 8 players for 6 spots. I made par on the playoff hole, which was good enough to advance to the U.S. Amateur final qualifying in July. USGA qualifiers sure deliver on all of the emotions in golf!

That’s Will and Jazz in the .gif. I expect better from this site in its historical references. And TIger sells it much better than Kuch.

Did you mean “mental” health professional? As a mater of fact , I am one. As for my comment about intelligent discussion, you make the point for me.

Oops, I’m humbled. I’d better apply for a Canadian license to practice medicine and start rooting for Graham and the Internationals. Thanks for straightening me out.

I think it’s good for Tiger to let go and have some fun. That seems to be what’s missing in his game. When he gets loose and plays for fun, he plays better. I for one hope we see a different, looser Tiger in 2014.

You mean the same “loser Tiger” that won 5 times in 2013??? Does the J stand for Jack Nichlaus, cuz he would be the only one that could get away with such a comment about the 2nd best ever!!!

The women’s US team at the Solheim Cup does a silly celebration and gets flamed for it. The male US team at the President’s Cup does a silly celebration and gets praised.
I guess winning really does take care of everything.
