“Been switching between two drivers lately. I can’t get the Titleist to spin enough – regardless of shaft. My old faithful is a TM Sim 2. It spins too much.

“I used trackman data, GHIN data, and swing videos to feed AI. I included TM core, Callaway Max and TD, Titleist 2 and 3, Srixon, and Ping G440 and 440K.  Shafts – stiff and X ranging from 72 to 50 grams in various profiles.

“The AI analysis was really interesting.  Trackman data started the process. However, suggestions changed dramatically when the swing videos were analyzed.

“Due to very smooth swing tempo, shaft suggestions went from mid 60 gram recommendations to a 50 gram counter balance shaft.  Stiffness went from stiff to stiff+ or x flex.

“The end result is the Ping G440K with their stock 50 Gram CB shaft tipped.  On course results and trackman data tell the same story – really good!.  AI still wants to tweak the setup. Wants constant feedback over the next 15 rounds with specific questions answered.

“AI became my fitter and quasi swing coach / strategist.”

• @LUMA: “The more I am exposed to AI for this and that, the more I realize it’s not correct and just instantly spitting out the internet.Not saying it’s a bad thing, but I have personally disproven AI results many times very easily.Use it as a reading tool, not the solution. YOU are the solution. YOU feed the AI.”
• @PJE: “I don’t think it’s useful for arcane subjects with lots of variables like club fitting. The biggest variable, of course, is the golfer and the way he or she delivers the club. It just spits out what is essentially conventional wisdom. Does that fit most people? Sure and probably by coincidence. If you know your game you could come up with the same results without AI.So is it innovative or truly interpretive of the situation at hand? Call me skeptical.As
