From the GolfWRX Classifieds: One-of-one Miura hand-ground wedges
At GolfWRX, we are a community of like-minded individuals who all experience and express our enjoyment of the game in many ways. It’s that sense of community that drives day-to-day interactions in the forums on topics that range from best driver to what marker you use to mark your ball. It also allows us to share another thing many of us love: buying and selling golf equipment.
Currently, in our GolfWRX buy/sell/trade forum, there is a listing that lands more in collector-artifact territory than ordinary wedge shopping.
@EaglesGolf99 has listed a set of three Miura Golf hand-ground wedge heads that the seller describes as ground by Mr. Katsuhiro Miura himself. The set includes 46-degree, 52-degree and 58-degree wedge heads, all built from heavy raw wedge blanks and described as brand new and never having touched a ball.
The details are what make the listing stand out. The seller says the blanks were acquired in late 2012 and later hand-ground in 2021, with the shaping described as a continuation of the 1957 Baby Blade look. Each head has its own listed specs, including finished head weight, loft, bounce, face progression, top line, toe shape, leading edge and sole grind.
The set is being offered only as a three-piece set, with the seller stating it will not be split. The asking price is listed at $4,000, including PayPal Goods and Services, UPS shipping and insurance.
As expected, the GolfWRX reaction has leaned into the rarity of the set. @goat24win praised the patina,
@Vince.Cole called the wedges stunning and @NavyMU offered a simple “Outstanding bro, GLWS.”
For most golfers, this is not a practical wedge-buying decision. It is a collector piece, a Miura history piece and a reminder that some Classifieds listings are not just about filling a gap at 52 degrees. Sometimes, they are about finding something you may never see again.
