TaylorMade Golf launches new Qi35 Designer Series drivers

TaylorMade Golf has today introduced its new Qi35 Designer Series drivers in Gloss Black, Gold, and Platinum heads.

Qi35 Designer Series Gloss Black

Looking down at the Qi35 Designer Series Gloss Black head, the first feature that may catch your eye is the all-black carbon crown.

Clean lines are designed to present a confidence-inspiring profile and give a striking contrast with the ball at address. The sole is just as eye-popping. The Gloss Black base color is complemented by subtle streaks of green.

Both TaylorMade and Qi35 logos announce themselves on the heel and toe without drawing attention away from the greater design theme. Grey scorelines define the shape on the outer edges while a subtle checkered carbon pattern occupies the center.

Qi35 Designer Series Gold

Available in the Qi35 and Qi35 Max heads, the Designer Series Gold drivers feature a solid golf crown outlined by striations that highlight the club’s symmetry. The gold sole is accented by subtle black markings on the outer edges and TaylorMade logos appear on both the toe and heel. A mirrored gold finish sits on the leading edge’s underside, adding yet another exclusive element.

The black face with grey score lines are designed to contrast elegantly with the gold head.

Qi35 Designer Series Platinum

Also available in Qi35 and Qi35 Max heads, the Designer Series Platinum drivers feature a platinum crown designed to create the perfect contrast with the ball at address. Silver striations around the perimeter also aim to provide the perfect frame.

The platinum sole is set with black markings that include both TaylorMade and Qi35 logos. Like the Gold head, a mirrored finish under the leading edge adds another element of flare. The black face fits seamlessly with the platinum head and features contrasting score lines.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
