Wilson launches 2025 Triad, Duo Soft golf balls

Today, Wilson has introduced two golf balls, the Triad and 2025 Duo Soft.

The Triad is billed as “the world’s most balanced golf ball.” It features a patented Tri-Balanced Construction that ensures uniform density across all three layers. According to the company, this technology eliminates “heavy” spots in the ball, resulting in a perfect center of gravity for a truer roll.

According to Frank Simonutti, Global Director of Golf Ball Innovation at Wilson Golf, “The soft three-piece urethane ball provides performance benefits to help golfers find more fairways, attack more pins, and sink more putts. The redesigned Tri-Balanced Construction makes it more consistent than its predecessor.”

The 80-compression Triad ball boasts a high moment of inertia for maximum ball speed and reduced driver spin, enhancing accuracy off the tee. Additionally, its thin, high-friction urethane cover improves club-face interaction for superior control on approach shots, Wilson says. Simonutti highlighted the Triad’s exceptional testing performance, noting, “The new Triad had the longest driver distance and highest iron spin of competitive three-piece urethane balls. This was matched by having the highest average spin rate on 7-iron, 9-iron, and 56-degree wedge shots.”

Wilson’s Duo Soft continues its legacy as “the world’s softest golf ball” and is now enhanced with a newly engineered high-energy core. This two-piece surlyn ball offers a compression of 37, delivering an ultra-soft feel while maximizing distance and minimizing spin for straighter flights. “The new Duo Soft provides golfers with premium performance at an incredible price,” Simonutti said. “During testing, the innovative high-energy core showed that the new Duo Soft carried longer than other competitive two-piece balls, yet continues to provide the softest feel of any golf ball.”

Pricing, specs, availability

Priced at $39.99 per dozen, the Triad balls are available this month in white and yellow.

Available in five colors — red, orange, green, yellow, and pink — the Duo Soft balls are priced at $22.99 per dozen.

Both new models are available for purchase this month.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
