The Big Review – Champ Zarma FLY Tees

Now normally, we wouldn't bother doing a review of something as simple as a tee but the fact is, these things are bloody great. Thankfully the folks at Champ aren't making any ridiculous claims of a tee adding yards to your drives but the fact is that these are pretty much the perfect tee.

We all know Champ for their superb spikes. Whether it's the Stingers, Stinger Pros or even the new Zarma spikes, pretty much every golf shoe comes with their spikes as standard. Champ are taking their expertise in golf accessories into the world of golf tees and here they have a done a great job.

Harris MacNeill, President and CEO of CHAMP tell us "The thought process behind the Zarma FLY Tee is that it is functional yet gives golfers more. The FLY tee is eco-friendly, made of strong durable, biogradable materials and has an enhanced platform for ease of placing the ball on the tee, all at a desirable price."

In your hand they feel almost wood-like and a million miles away from the cheap plastic tees that normally litter courses. Because they are biodegradable, your conscience can rest easy should you manage to lose one but given they they come in lurid green, orange and pink as well as red, blue and white you basically have to hoick it into the rough to lose it. Since they are so durable, you only have to carry one or two with you (in ten rounds I have still to break one) so you don't have a pocket full of broken tees and related shrapnel on the tee box and they do not deform so putting the ball on the tee is no a balancing act.

In summary, unless you are given free tees you should get some of these.
