11 Revealing photos from The Barclays

Published

on

GolfWRX was live this week from The Barclays at Plainfield C.C. in Edison, N.J., as the FedExCup Playoffs got underway. If you missed any of the galleries from this week, make sure to catch up on them below:

Playoffs. Don’t talk about playoffs. Playoffs?!

Sorry, but we are indeed talking about the FedExCup Playoffs, where the winner gets $10 million. So while the PGA Tour guys are grinding over 3-footers for millions and millions of dollars, I’ll be here revealing some photos.

Welcome to the playoff version of Revealing Photos.

“Chuckie 3 Sticks” needs a nickname tweak

d4bbc75867543edb365d6826fc6d0cee

He seems to have a new gamer putter every week, and he’s usually tinkering with at least two other putters.

1a45647acc7e3c88a1226bdff6688d39-1

This week he’s testing a few PXG putters, and last time he teed it up at the PGA Championship he was gaming a Scotty Cameron prototype. As gear heads we should all have sympathy for him; he’s truly one of us.

And for his tinkering habit with putters, we shall call him Chuckie 3 FlatSticks.

I wonder what Patrick Reed is listening to?

3e19a363d70b51cd2967dfbdb933a49d

Maybe it’s that song from the most insufferable commercial in golf…

Also, Reed is testing a new Odyssey Big T putter, which looks to be a Reed-only version. Off-the-shelf Big T putters have the company’s Fusion RX insert, but his has a White Hot Pro insert.

When you’re a top-5 player in the world, you get any insert you want.

There’s a reason Snedeker is one of the best putters on Tour

6fec7f02e401527b67983185f5126980

It looks like he burned a hole through the sweet spot of his White Hot putter insert. It’s easier to be consistent when you never miss the center of the club face.

Weekly sneaker heat

Who would have thought you’d be making your next sneaker purchase based on a photo of Jason Dufner? He’s wearing the LeBron 12 low white “USA” shoes on the putting green, which you should consider adding to your collection.

680ff799f85010484f32c1ba5edb95da

Why is Dufner wearing LeBron’s? Maybe because LeBron James plays basketball for the Cleveland Cavs, and Jason Dufner was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Just a thought.

Will McGirt’s all white Nippon N.S. Pro Prototype shafts

7907dc7055e7b90c7493adc8ee1c879f

I wonder if you’re allowed to swing white shafts after Labor Day, or if that’s still considered a fashion faux pas.

Spieth really is the Golden Boy

98faa3b9c78333ebcca1f2ad87a17a30

Even the cops love him.

And if anyone was looking for the rat on the PGA Tour, we may have found him. He’s clearly working as an informant.

tumblr_lj6x7yvGo41qdcgp6o1_500

Plus Spieth’s hands, they never shake… ever.

Isn’t it ironic?

4103f0f204cb0a1719b7b3f0bee9f3c7

Canadian Graham Delaet’s name displayed right below a Dunkin’ Donuts “America Runs on Dunkin” ad? Do they even dunk their donuts north of the border?

SeeMore’s three putter sizes…

80861ece5c8dcf6bc1ac0be3f6132b34

SeeWayMore, SeeMore, SeeLess.

But seriously, they’re (from left-to-right) the SeeMore Giant FGP, SeeMore FGP and the SeeMore Mini Giant.

You can see inside Cobra’s new King LTD driver

And, in case you were wondering, three golf balls fit inside the SpacePort.

The color scheme looks dangerously similar to Rickie Fowler’s Porsche. Coincidence?

Well played, Greg (our Tour photographer).

Help me caption this photo

RevealingPhotosBatman

I am whatever GolfWRX needs me to be. And for now, that means leaving this amazing image for the people of GolfWRX to caption.

In the comments, give us your best Batman quote, and see if you can tie it into golf, Titleist or Scotty Cameron.

He played on the Hawaii Pacific University Men's Golf team and earned a Masters degree in Communications. He also played college golf at Rutgers University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

Charles Howell III new nickname should be “Thirsten” ( ie; Gilligans Island), his putters are on a 3 hour tour, trying to find something to get him off the ” island”.

Nice job, AT. I thought you’d like the photo of the no cameras sign. Thought the Dunkin sign might warrant a Tim Hortons mention. Keep up the great work each week

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.

Name every set of irons you’ve owned – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, one user has offered up a prompt for the true sickos, inviting fellow forum members to share every set of irons they’ve ever owned. As to be expected, this is a lengthy forum topic.

@Lamosteve began:

Can you name every set of irons you’ve owned? Here’s mine

Spalding Dots
Spalding Eclipse
Ram Lazer FX
Lynx Parallax
Mizuno EZ Comp
Ben Hogans
Cleveland CG Red
Taylor Made R9s
PING i20
PING iE1
Taylor Made M6

Our members in the forum have been offering up their own collections. Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • macedan: “Started with a hand-me-down Golden Bear set from my brother when I was in high school, never really played more than once a year or got into the game until about summer of 2017. First purchased a set of Cleveland CG4’s (I actually really miss this set sometimes, soft & not terribly large for a GI iron), moved into Nike Vapor Fly’s by the end of the year. Those lasted until spring of 18 when I decided I wanted new, so I traded them in for TM Rbladez. Honestly, although I liked the Rbladez, poor decision on my part, I think this was really about the only time so far that after a week or two I was kicking myself for not staying with what I had. Rbladez stayed with me until late last summer when I switched to P790’s and (knock on wood) I am hoping this will be my longest lasting set.”
  • JimmyC59: “MacGregor Jack Nicklaus Triple Crown. Palmer The Standard. Still play these.”
  • jgrzask: “Tommy Armour 845u
    Mizuno MP-32
    Mizuno MP-33 (2 sets)
    Bridgestone J33cb – still own
    Srixon i-302 (2 sets) – still own
    Tourstage X-Blades – still own
Mizuno Hot Metal – still own
Nike Forged Blades – still own
    Titleist 714 AP1 – still own
Cobra Forged SS – still own”
