Cobra launches all-new MIM putter family for 2026
Cobra Golf has today announced the launch of its all-new MIM Putter Family, a complete lineup engineered using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology.
Designed to replace Cobra’s Vintage putter family, the new MIM lineup is constructed entirely using metal injection molding, a manufacturing process that is designed to combine the consistency of forging with the efficiency of traditional casting.

Per Cobra, this advanced process allows the brand’s engineers to produce complex shapes with dramatically tighter tolerances, resulting in excellent head-to-head consistency and refined detailing across every model.

Each putter in the MIM family features Cobra’s next-generation Pebax face insert, now firmer and more durable for improved responsiveness and long-term performance.

Made from a lightweight thermoplastic elastomer, the Pebax insert redistributes mass away from the face to increase moment of inertia (MOI), in design to deliver greater stability and forgiveness on off-center strikes while maintaining a soft premium feel.

To further enhance roll performance, the MIM putter family incorporates LA Golf’s Descending Loft Technology (DLT). With lofts that progress from 4°, 3°, 2°, to 1°, DLT helps correct common putting tendencies of adding or reducing loft during impact in design for optimized launch and maximum end-over-end roll performance.

“The new Pebax insert was a major focus for us with this lineup. By improving the insert makeup, we were able to make it more durable, deliver a more responsive feel while also freeing up mass to increase MOI and forgiveness. When you pair that with LA Golfs’s Descending Loft Technology, golfers get a consistent launch and a noticeably smoother, end-over-end roll regardless of whether they tend to add or take away loft at impact.” – Chad DeHart, Senior Product Line Manager at Cobra Golf
The Cobra MIM Putters will retail for $279 and will be available at retail starting March 13, 2026.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report
This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.
Joel Thelen
Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.
First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner
Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
