Fujikura rounds out 2024 Ventus lineup with Red and Black shafts
![](https://www.golfwrx.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Red-6-X_Blue-6-X_Black-6-X_v1.jpg)
In January, we brought you news that Fujikura was reprising its massively popular Ventus line of shafts for 2024, starting with the mid-launch/low-spin Ventus Blue.
GolfWRXers knew well at that point what would inevitably follow. As was the case with the original 2018 Ventus and Ventus TR lines, Fujikura has added 2024 Ventus Red and 2024 Ventus Black shafts to its lineup.
Once again, Velocore is central to the Ventus design. Introduced in 2018, Velocore is a multi-material bias core construction technique designed to deliver clubface stability and more center-face contact for tighter down-range dispersion.
Key to the 2024 Ventus is the next generation of Velocore, Velocore+, which sees the multi-material bias core re-engineered for greater feel and stability. According to Fujikura, Velocore+ delivers even tighter dispersion and greater ball speeds.
2024 Fujikura Ventus Red
Higher launching and spinning than the Ventus Blue, Velocore+ is positioned to deliver higher ball speed with ease of launch and greater accuracy. Stiff tip. Firm mid. Ultra-stiff handle.
2024 Ventus Black
The “low-launch, low-spin” offering in the Ventus lineup, Ventus Black is designed for golfers with aggressive backswing-to-downswing transitions and those looking for the most penetrating ball flights with stability through impact. Ultra-stiff tip. Stiff mid. Ultra-stiff handle.

What Fujikura says
“The launch of 2024 Ventus Red and Ventus Black represents another significant milestone for Fujikura,” says Spencer Reynolds, Fujikura Product and Brand Manager. “Joining the already successful VeloCore+ family of products, the incorporation of Red and Black into the 2024 Ventus line-up provides even more versatility for our Charter Dealers and fitters wanting to offer incremental gains and unique performance benefits to multiple player types.”

At the 2015 John Deere Classic, Jordan Spieth downed Tom Gillis in a playoff for his fourth victory of the season. Spieth entered the final round with a two-stroke lead, bolstered by a Saturday 10-under 61, and was steady enough Sunday to book passage to a playoff at 20 under par. When Gillis wasn’t up to the task, Spieth captured his second trophy at the Silvis, Illinois, event.
