Our cup overflows this week with victory. The PGA, LPGA, Korn Ferry, PGA Tour Americas, PGA Tour Champions, and USGA all held important events this week. In addition, the DP World Tour held its first of two solo June events last week. Thanks to our focused coverage of the USGA Women’s Open, we decided to postpone our look at that event until today. Seven important tournaments and matches were decided on Sunday, and we are thrilled to bring them to you in true Tour Tech Rundown fashion. PGA Tour @ Canadian Open: Cauley completes comeback

William Carl “Bud” Cauley featured on a winning USA Walker Cup side in 2009, at Merion. His teammates were Rickie Fowler and Brian Harman, among others. Cauley turned professional after his time at the University of Alabama and in the amateur ranks. His pro grind was halted in 2018, when a car accident and subsequent injuries and complications sidelined him for six years. Cauley returned to the tour two years ago and completed the most unlikely comeback since Ben Hogan, with a win this week at the Canadian Open.

Two fresh talents, Ben James and Jackson Suber, held the second and third-round leads at TPC-Toronto AOV, but neither could see his way to the top spot on day four. James tied for 54th, while Suber finished T4. Bud Cauley caught lightning in a bottle over the fourth round. He overcame two bogeys with seven birdies on the last day, and surged past Suber into first position. Matt Fitzpatrick closed with an eagle to finish solo second, two behind Cauley. Norway’s Viktor Hovland came third, one stroke farther back.

LPGA @ Dow Championship: Kim and Wilson collect team laurel

The eighth playing of the Dow Team Championship saw a flip-flop on day four at Midland. Hye-Jin Choi and Hyo Joo Kim carried a one-shot advantage into day four of the Michigan event, but Gina Kim and Yana Wilson saved their sparkle for Sunday. Although HJC and HJK signed for a fine 65 on Sunday, GK and YW slid past with the day’s second-low round of 62. Kim and Wilson paired 31s on each nine to ease two shots past the overnight leaders. The runners-up secured a birdie at 18 to finish solo second. It was their only gain stroke over the closing six holes. That stretch led to their tumble from the top spot.

DP World Tour @ KLM Open: Chacarra cements return from LIV

Last week, Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra cemented his return from LIV to the DP World Tour with a one-shot victory over Finland’s Oliver Lindell. Chacarra claimed a second DPWT title after his 2025 win at the Hero Indian Open. Blessed/Cursed with a sizable lead as the final nine holes beckoned, Chacarra’s closing side was bumpy. Two bogeys and two birdies almost let Lindell slide into a playoff. Lindell posted three birdies coming home, but was unable to clutch one more to create overtime. Chacarra moved inside the top 100 in the OWGR with his victory.

Korn Ferry Tour @ OccuNet Classic: Fischer holds off Carr

How demanding is the retention of a 54-hole lead? Zack Fischer can testify for the defense. Fischer was cruising at a manageable clip on Sunday when a double bogey jumped up on the 14th hole. In the blink of an eye, his lead was gone. Digging deep, Fischer played the final four holes in minus one, highlighted by a birdie from ten feet at the par-three 16th hole. His closest pursuer made bogey at the same hole, to drop four shots off the pace. Four shots, you say? Well, Ben Carr closed eagle-birdie, to make up three of those four shots, and nearly forced extra holes. Fischer finished on minus fourteen, one shot clear of Carr, and two shots beyond Jake Summy and Ryo Ishikawa. The victory was Fischer’s first of 2026 and moved him inside the top twenty in the season-long points race.

PGA Tour Americas @ Inter Rapidisimo: Doyle earns first title

The 2026 PGA Tour Americas season has celebrated six events in six countries, and six different competitors have lifted trophies. If that’s not equity, we need a new dictionary. Drew Doyle posted five consecutive pars over Sunday’s closing holes to hold off Etienne Papineau and Patrick Newcomb. After a run of three birdies early on the final nine, Papineau suffered a costly bogey at the 17th hole. As for Newcomb, his final nine was resplendent, with six pars and three birdies. Unable to uncover one last birdie, Newcomb joined Papineau on minus-seventeen, one shy of the winning tally.

PGA Tour Champions @ Principal Charities: Johnson wins second senior title

Zach Johnson held the overnight lead on Saturday, went two shots down late on Sunday, but rallied with the help of a stumble from Richard Green. Johnson won his second PGAC title of 2026 by one shot. Johnson played his final four holes in minus-two, while Green went opposite with bogeys at 16 and 17, to close on minus-ten overall. Green ended in a tie with Retief Goosen, who played the final holes in plus-one, one behind Johnson.

USGA @ Curtis Cup: Team USA holds off Team Great Britain and Ireland

They say that Sundays are for singles, and no one plays better on Sundays than Team USA at the Curtis Cup. The home squad held a two-point advantage at 7-5 at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles. The Red White Blue went 2-1 during each of Friday’s sessions to establish that deuce advantage. On Saturday, the lead went to three after the morning four-ball (better ball) but returned to two when Team GBI took two of three foursomes tilts. On Sunday, Patience Rhodes and Sophia Fullbrook went out in the one-two slots for the visitors and erased the two-point lead. With momentum against them, Team USA rallied and claimed the final six individual matches to secure a 13-7 victory.

In our forums, one user is asking for thoughts on the best stock shafts offered in 2026. Stock shafts are the shafts included with a club when it’s purchased from retailers or OEMs.

@DTorres asked:

The last couple years has seen a lot of updates and additions to no upcharge stock shafts, which do you think is the best offering in 2026?

Im a bit of a shaft nerd and recently during my Members Testing with the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond I found the updated Project X Denali Frost Black to be a fantastic stock shaft. I absolutely did not mesh well with the original Denali. Just curious what other people think are the current best Stock shaft offerings out with new models and stock Ventus options and LinQ options popping up here and there.

We were given the option for any stock shafts for our members review. I went with the 70g Black Frost 6.5 because it’s a shaft I don’t have, it’s an updated version of the original Denali and hear little about. I typically use a Diamana WB, GD VF or a HOF Raptor. I’m not saying it was neck and neck with any of those but it was a pleasant surprise I’m not accustomed to in stock shaft offerings.

Have to give Titlieist their flowers for finding a way to make it available as a featured option; very shrewd bit of business and one that I suspect will be duplicated by the other companies. CTG77: “Undoubtedly, it’s the Tensei 1K RIP shafts from Titleist. The Tensei line gives about 98% of the performance of a Ventus VeloCore+ shaft at a tiny fraction of the cost if you’re looking for a blue or red profile. The white is not an exact match for Ventus Black, but it’s closer to it than the non-VeloCore+ Ventus shafts that come from Callaway or formerly came from TaylorMade.”
