WITB Time Machine: Rickie Fowler’s winning WITB, 2023 Rocket Classic
This week, we’re taking the WITB Time Machine back to Rickie Fowler’s triumph at the 2023 Rocket Classic. The win was Fowler’s first PGA Tour victory in over four years. After a gritty final-round 68 at Detroit Golf Club, Fowler found himself in a three-way tie with Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin at 24 under. In the tournament-deciding sudden-death playoff, Fowler calmly sank a clutch 12-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to secure the win. This victory, which earned him a $1.584 million winner’s check and boosted him into the FedExCup top 10, snapped a 96-tournament win drought.
