PXG launches new 0317 ST blades

Published

on

PXG has released its new milled PXG 0317 ST blades.

“Our team has done their homework on these blades, taking feedback from our professional staff and college players to inform all aspects of the design. From clubhead size, offset, and sole design to a flighted trajectory.” – PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons shared.

Each iron in the PXG 0317 ST set is triple forged from 8620 soft carbon steel in design to create a tight, strong grain structure that prolongs the grooves’ life and enhances the overall feel.

Then, the irons are CNC milled to ensure every surface, curve, and angle are produced to exact specifications. Finally, the blades undergo a precise robotic polishing process to refine the sole and other geometries for a flawless finish and excellent consistency club to club.

In addition to high-grade materials and precision manufacturing, PXG 0317 ST Blades are characterized by a unique, tour-inspired blended set design. Harder-to-hit 3- and 4-irons feature a cavity back that are designed to make it easier to hit the ball up in the air and increases forgiveness on mishits.

The remaining clubs in the set feature a solid-body design that aim to deliver a penetrating trajectory with high spin, exceptional consistency, and maximum control.

PXG 0317 ST blades also incorporate PXG’s Precision Weighting Technology to fine-tune performance further. The large tungsten weight on the back of the clubhead is used to optimize the swing weight/head weight target on the center-of-gravity location. Optimization can be experienced during an in-person golf club fitting and is dialed in as part of the custom build process.

The blades are named after the 0317 U.S. Marine Corps Scout Sniper.

The new milled PXG 0317 ST Blades are available in a Chrome ($199 per club) or Xtreme Dark ($219 per club) finish and are available now at www.PXG.com.

I have never been a PXG fan. But a number of buds on the forum have sworn by these ST blades. I am eager to try these and with their prices low makes it affordable.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
