MyTaylorMade+: An advanced digital service providing exclusive products, instruction, content and more

Published

on

TaylorMade Golf Company has introduced MyTaylorMade+ for 2022.

Available on the App Store and Google Play now, MyTaylorMade+ aims to bring the Tour experience to the palm of your hands with personalized coaching from certified PGA Teaching Professionals and instruction from Tour level coaches, including Rick Sessinghaus, coach of two-time major champion Collin Morikawa.

Along with golf and fitness instruction, the app provides data-driven insights, exclusive and early access to select products, custom fitting experiences, Try Then Buy, Tour-built equipment played by TaylorMade athletes and more.

“TaylorMade is built on innovation and pushing the boundaries of product performance, but we know achieving your golfing goals requires more than having the best equipment.

Whether you’re trying to break 90 for the first time or winning a major, it requires coaching – both for the swing and the mind. It requires the body to be in the best possible physical shape and total game analysis to understand strengths and weaknesses. That is why we are excited to launch MyTaylorMade+ and help golfers of all abilities improve and achieve their goals.

Beyond that, MyTaylorMade+ offers the chance to win access to Tour-spec equipment built for Team TaylorMade athletes, gives golfers the ability to try custom drivers before they buy and includes exclusive product drops with equipment that can’t be found anywhere else.” – Nick Robbie, Director of Emerging Opportunities, TaylorMade

Member Shop

Early Access & Exclusive Products: MyTaylorMade+ subscribers will have early access to select new products from TaylorMade, as well as exclusive products only available for purchase on MyTaylorMade+.

Tour Trash: One golfer’s trash is another golfer’s treasure. Tour Trash is a unique collection of equipment that was destined to be played on Tour. Tour Trash allows a user to enter for a chance to win equipment built for and used by TaylorMade athletes.

Try Then Buy: Try Then Buy is a first of its kind experience, allowing MyTaylorMade+ users to test the newest TaylorMade drivers before purchase. Users can build clubs to their specs, ship it to their home and experience the product during a two-week trial period before deciding to purchase the club or return it to TaylorMade free of charge.

Personalized Instruction

After uploading videos of their swing to the app, golfers receive corresponding analysis from their MyTaylorMadeCoach, who will provide a breakdown and rating of the user’s setup, turn, lever, path, release and more.

A roadmap will then be created to take the user on a journey through each swing element with a focus on one area of their swing at a time. An immediate relationship is established between golfer and their MyTaylorMadeCoach, as they work together through submitted swing videos and subsequent analysis.

As the golfer completes each lesson, the coach evaluates and determines when the golfer is ready to move on to the next step of their roadmap.

Scores, Stats & Insights

Under the “Play” tab, users will have access to MyTaylorMadeOnCourse, giving them GPS tracking and advanced statistics and analytics specific to their game and their equipment.

The golfer’s data links directly to their MyTaylorMade+ account to drive personalized insights, content and drills to help them improve in areas specific to their game.

MyTaylorMadeOnCourse will provide users with in-depth statistics and analysis, including scoring averages, Strokes Gained, fairways hit, greens in regulation, sand saves and putts per round. As golfers track their rounds and enter scores, a MyTaylorMade+ handicap will be generated.

Fittings

Users have access to one-on-one time to dial in their equipment with a TaylorMade fitting expert through in-person fittings or a virtual fitting. Results of the fitting are posted in the app, and users can also purchase their equipment directly through MyTaylorMade+.

Club Recommender

By entering previous fitting data or answering a series of questions to receive immediate recommendations on which driver head and shaft are best optimized for their game, users then have the option to either purchase the driver through MyTaylorMade+ or utilize the Try Then Buy feature.

MyTaylorMade+ is available to purchase now on the App store and Google Play.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.

Name every set of irons you’ve owned – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, one user has offered up a prompt for the true sickos, inviting fellow forum members to share every set of irons they’ve ever owned. As to be expected, this is a lengthy forum topic.

@Lamosteve began:

Can you name every set of irons you’ve owned? Here’s mine

Spalding Dots
Spalding Eclipse
Ram Lazer FX
Lynx Parallax
Mizuno EZ Comp
Ben Hogans
Cleveland CG Red
Taylor Made R9s
PING i20
PING iE1
Taylor Made M6

Our members in the forum have been offering up their own collections. Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • macedan: “Started with a hand-me-down Golden Bear set from my brother when I was in high school, never really played more than once a year or got into the game until about summer of 2017. First purchased a set of Cleveland CG4’s (I actually really miss this set sometimes, soft & not terribly large for a GI iron), moved into Nike Vapor Fly’s by the end of the year. Those lasted until spring of 18 when I decided I wanted new, so I traded them in for TM Rbladez. Honestly, although I liked the Rbladez, poor decision on my part, I think this was really about the only time so far that after a week or two I was kicking myself for not staying with what I had. Rbladez stayed with me until late last summer when I switched to P790’s and (knock on wood) I am hoping this will be my longest lasting set.”
  • JimmyC59: “MacGregor Jack Nicklaus Triple Crown. Palmer The Standard. Still play these.”
  • jgrzask: “Tommy Armour 845u
    Mizuno MP-32
    Mizuno MP-33 (2 sets)
    Bridgestone J33cb – still own
    Srixon i-302 (2 sets) – still own
    Tourstage X-Blades – still own
Mizuno Hot Metal – still own
Nike Forged Blades – still own
    Titleist 714 AP1 – still own
Cobra Forged SS – still own”

Entire Thread: “Name every set of irons you’ve owned.”
