He used to use a Ping TR 1966 Anser 2 (Ping grip); he is currently using/won with a Ping Vault 2.0 Dale Anser Platinum (SuperStroke grip).

Ping figures their putter lies differently from everyone else. They use 0 d as their base instead of 90 degrees. Thus a 21 degree lie in the ping system is 69 degrees in the usual system.

In order to not confuse, Ping uses “from upright”. So basically what you might call 69º. They use the reverse for putter measurements.

That putter picture doesn’t match the description and I seriously doubt he has a 21* lie angle.

I’m guessing it’s 90-21=69

I think you are correct – that’s not a Vault 2.0 Dale Anser; it’s a TR 1966 Anser.

Are you sure he plays 6.0s in his irons and 6.5 in his wedges?

Atypical, to be sure, but the info is straight from the fitter and confirmed by our most recent in-hand photos.
