Cleveland launches Huntington Beach SOFT putters
Cleveland’s new Huntington Beach Soft line of putters feature the company’s proprietary Speed Optimized Face Technology (SOFT), which is designed to normalize ball speed across the face of the putter for more consistent speed and distance.

Each head features a custom face-milling pattern. For example, the higher MOI models have a gradual face-milling pattern on higher MOI models.

“Cleveland Golf putters have always been a great value, but the Huntington Beach SOFT Putter, featuring a speed optimized face and premium finish, takes it to a new level,” said Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development. “The Huntington Beach SOFT putter’s speed optimized face is one of the most advanced technologies available to improve putting performance.”

The six models, all crafted from 304 stainless steel, feature coarse, diamond-shaped milling designed to promote softer feel and a more consistent roll at impact, according to Cleveland. Additionally, the models of the Huntington Beach SOFT series featured optimized centers of gravity and strategic weight distribution for enhanced stability.
Available at retail Nov. 16 at $129.99 MAP. Cleveland offers 16 unique color selections and four different color fill areas for an additional $10.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report
This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.
Joel Thelen
Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.
First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner
Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.

I’ve used the same Cleveland putter for 15 years. Looks brand new, and I have no reason to change unless I get a better feel out of another Cleveland putter. I’ll own one for life.

It will be interesting to see how these do in your tests. I like the Tyne styled one.
It is pretty much a direct copy of Pings face. They are a good value and they perform well.

Best value in putters and its not even close.
I will guarantee there are guys out there who don’t give these putters a look simply because of the low price. All the complaining about expensive equipment….yet when a company actually doesn’t gouge the consumer, the consumer relates low price to low quality. these are anything but low quality.
