We like tinkering. Period. Why play golf then? We enjoy the sheer tinkering of hitting as many different kinds of golf clubs as they exist on earth, because it’s just enjoyable. Because it is. Just fun. Why not?

Gezz I’m virtually the same tinker tragic as Brian, remarkable how I’ve encountered the exact same fails he described on my journey to club making independence. Wouldn’t have it any other way though, nothing like that moment you tee up your latest creation and it’a a beast!… rare but nice ????

It’s obvious that a lot of people don’t want to listen to a pod cast. Get with it, provide a text.

We change things because we can. Does it make it better?, sometimes. If you are like me you love it.

Podcasts are annoying. I’d rather READ text.

HINT: After pulling a grip, heat the residue tape with a heat gun … makes tape removal really easy.

Club Junkie: Ping i540 irons review + L.A.B. VZN.1i putters and Graphite Design shaft sightings

Published

on

On this episode of Club Junkie, I dive into the brand-new Ping i540 irons and talk about where they fit in the lineup, their performance on the course, and who I think they are really made for. There is a lot to love — and maybe one complaint in the new i540 irons.

The show also covers the new L.A.B. VZN.1i putters that have started showing up, plus some new Graphite Design Tour AD shafts spotted out on the PGA Tour and what makes them interesting. Wrapping things up, I might swap a few shafts into some putters and talk through how those changes might completely alter feel and performance.
