Photos from the 2015 Barbasol Championship
GolfWRX is live this week from the inaugural Barbasol Championship at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National (Lake Course) in Opelika, Ala. The course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., will play as a par-71 measuring 7,302 yards for the event.
The top players in the world are across the pond at The Open Championship at St. Andrews, giving lower-ranked golfers an opportunity to make money, earn FedEx Cup points and pick up a victory — thus a bid to The Masters — here at the Barbasol.
The field this week consists of a few notable names including Charles Howell III, Boo Weekley, Will Wilcox and former major champions David Toms, Trevor Immelman and Shaun Micheel.

Photos from the 2022 PGA Show
GolfWRX was on site for the golf business’s annual winter rite: the PGA Merchandise Show.
While the weather was less than cooperative for demo day, there were no such difficulties inside the Orange County Convention Center. This isn’t to say there weren’t significant figurative headwinds influencing this year’s Show, but those are widely discussed elsewhere. Our duty here was merely to document, and that is what we did to the tune of more than 1,500 photos, below.
Enjoy!

Garrett Willis! That’s the most intimidating bag of gear I’ve seen on tour… EVER! Lol. Gotta love the sun-faded vintage collegiate L8 stand bag, the beat to sh!t TMag R1, the SGI Ping i15 irons, and the Eye 2 wedges…

Those irons are “re-stamped” Cleveland MT/TT 588 heads. That’s about it…
Ugh

Oh dear. What ugly irons from Srixon. A TM reject from 2011. Don’t they know that people hate those screw things in irons.

Agree on the srixon….though I think they most resemble Nike NDS irons…
As for screws….ummm….parsons seems to be doing pretty well with them:
