2015 Farmers Insurance Open Photos

Published

on

GolfWRX is live this week from the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego, Calif. Three rounds of the event are held on the South course, a par-72 that measures 7,698 yards, and one of the players’ first two rounds is played on the North course, a par-72 measuring 7,052 yards.

A strong field at this year’s Farmers Insurance Open includes Justin Rose (ranked No. 5 in the Official World Golf Rankings), Jordan Spieth (No. 9), Rickie Fowler (No. 12), Jimmy Walker (No. 13), Phil Mickelson (No. 18), 2014 FedEx Cup Champion Billy Horschel (No. 17), last week’s winner Brooks Koepka (No. 19) and Dustin Johnson (No. 23).

Johnson makes his return to competition this week after a six-month leave of absence for personal reasons, and the recent birth of his first child with Paulina Gretzky.

Tiger Woods, an eight-time winner at Torrey Pines, will also be in the field after dropping outside the top 50 (No. 56). He looks to bounce back from a last place finish at last week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.

In last year’s Farmers Insurance Open, Scott Stallings emerged from a five-way tie with a birdie on No. 18 to win by a stroke.

What’s with the random black 8 iron in Colt Knost and Matt Every’s bag? They both have their normal 8 iron in there as well.

What kind of training is he doing with it? I’m curious because that is the set of irons I use (and love).

The biomech putter is a game changer……if you don’t try it….your not looking to make more putts…..it’s like cheating….

Woah, Luke Donald switched to MP-15’s. The 64’s had a darn good run.

With the PGA Tour across the border in Canada this week, GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore stayed stateside and headed to the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo, Texas.

It’s always interesting to see what the guys are playing on the KFT, and this week certainly hasn’t disappointed so far, with some incredible wedge stamping on display.
