Eighty-four-year-old Arnold Palmer, winner of 62 events during his career, including seven major championships, underwent a procedure Monday to install a pacemaker implant to correct an abnormal heartbeat, according to Palmer’s website, www.arnoldpalmer.com.
Palmer will turn 85 on Sept. 10.
The release on Palmer’s website stated:
“Arnold Palmer had successful pacemaker implant surgery today at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh to correct an abnormal heartbeat. He will remain in the hospital for observation overnight and is expected to be released Tuesday.”

Prayers for a healthy recovery Mr. Palmer. I named my child after you in honor of your name, your love for the sport, your history and all you have done for all of us. Rest well and will see you on the course, on the range or the putting green, it’s all terrific.

With the PGA Tour across the border in Canada this week, GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore stayed stateside and headed to the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo, Texas.

It’s always interesting to see what the guys are playing on the KFT, and this week certainly hasn’t disappointed so far, with some incredible wedge stamping on display.
