Tweets of the week: Patrick Reed’s Ego, Poulter channels Czervik and more

Published

Welcome to the post-WGC-Cadillac Championship edition of Tweets of the week. Contrary to popular reports, more happened this week outside of tournament winner Patrick Reed’s 10-minute post-round interview.

In this installment, Reed earns the true measure of success: a parody Twitter account, Luke Donald rips Ian Poulter, Greg Norman fancies himself a bard and we get a look at some sweet wedge stamping.

On to the tweets!

Up first, not a tweet but a Twitter account. You may be familiar with the “ego” handles, such as Jason Dufner’s Ego and Tom Brady’s Ego. Well, following his post-round comments at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, someone has decided that Patrick Reed’s ego requires a space in the Twitterverse.

As expected, Reed’s ego didn’t waste any time being modest with its first tweet.

More recently, @PatrickReedsEgo retweeted the now-legendary Oscars selfie with a slight addition: himself.

Richard S. Johnson posted this essential bit of advice he spotted on his Instagram account.

Luke Donald gave fellow Englishman Ian Poulter no respect, pointing out the Czervikian nature of his plaid suit with this tweet.

Bud Cauley tweeted this shot of he and his bud, Chipper relaxing. Pro golfers: they’re just like us!

This sunset inspired Greg Norman to wax poetic. I appreciate the sentiment, but think Mr. Norman should stick to wine, golf and business.

Shouldn’t Poulter be channeling Reed???? Didn’t Poulter say something about being able to beat Tiger or something or other a few years back??? Reed should teach him thing or two

How does Donald send that tweet without the line: “Oh, but it looks good on you.” Talk about missed opportunity.

With the PGA Tour across the border in Canada this week, GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore stayed stateside and headed to the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo, Texas.

It’s always interesting to see what the guys are playing on the KFT, and this week certainly hasn’t disappointed so far, with some incredible wedge stamping on display.
