Club Junkie’s GolfWRX Classifieds top 10: Darkness irons, TM Qi10 “Dot” head + more

Published

on

One of the best things about GolfWRX is the incredible Classifieds/buy, sell, trade (BST) area of the site. This is where so many equipment-obsessed members browse endless equipment to see what could be added to their bag, if only for a short time. I used to personally sell my gear in order to fund my next gear purchase in the BST on a daily basis. As I was taking a look at some of the latest ads, I found 10 really cool items up for sale.

PXG 0317 T Darkness Iron Heads

Some of us love building our own golf clubs, and what better way than getting our hands on a set of iron heads. The PXG 0317 T heads are super underrated with their compact, blade-like size, but they are hollow-bodied for a little added distance and forgiveness. And they are the very cool Darkness finish!

“Clubs show some wear because of the dark finish, but lots of life left. Standard loft, 1* upright. $425”

TaylorMade Qi10 V2 “Dot” Head

THE famous tour issue driver that is still in the bag of the No. 1 player in the world! TaylorMade’s Qi10 “Dot” heads were only available to tour players and featured lower spin and more neutral ball flight than the retail Qi10 driver. These are highly coveted and not easy to find in the higher 10.5-degree loft that this seller has. I also give the seller credit for adding flair to his sale with the background.

“TM Qi10 v2 Dot 10.5* Head Only ($325 $295) – 10.75* actual (have specs written down if full specs needed), 197g, One tiny alignment stick mark on crown – I personally never noticed at address.”

Titleist GT3 9.0 Degree Head

Much like buying iron heads to build your own set, some of us want to use a shaft we love in a new driver head. The manufacturers won’t sell you just a driver head, but you can snag up a brand new GT3 9-degree head right here. I mean, even the head cover is still in the plastic, making me wonder how many drivers this seller has that he didn’t even unwrap this one!

“Titleist GT3 9 degree. Brand new in plastic. Stock head cover. $375 shipped.”

Toulon San Diego First Run

I have to admit that I am a sucker for the finish color on this Toulon San Diego. The combination of the head finish, black shaft, and grip will make you look fantastic out on the greens while taking your buddy’s money. Toulon’s take on the Anser 2/Newport 2 head shape is really nice, with slightly softer angles and edges.

“Used once or twice on course, standard lie/loft of 70*, 3*, measures 35 1/2” from center of sole to end of grip.  Comes with matte black steel putter shaft (assume KBS).  Comes with white Lamkin/Superstroke Deep Etched smooth grip.  Will ship in the Toulon headcover although I am 99.9% certain this is not the original headcover it came it. Some small blemish on the face, tried to capture in photos.  $275”

Quantum Max Fairway 9-Wood

High lofted fairway woods might be one of the hottest things in golf at the moment. The Callaway Quantum Max blends distance, forgiveness, and high launch for a club that you can attack the green with. Most players would replace a 4 iron with a 9 wood that can land softer into the green with better distance control. It is slightly used but looks really clean.

“Mens/Right $325 shipped. Like new, after buying in the ProShop, Buyer hit a few times on the range, didn’t like it, and traded on a Ping 9W fairway
standard off the rack 9 Wood”

Scotty Cameron 9.2R – KBS GPS 120

This is what I love about the BST! This seller built up a really popular Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.2R putter with a KBS GPS 120 graphite putter shaft and a Scotty Geo Midsize grip and is now moving on to something new. They even went so far as to add a custom Scotty Cameron head cover to amp up the style. My big question is: what putters are they moving onto now?

“Built this putter about six weeks ago and gamed it for a couple rounds. Mint shape. RWB KBS GPS 120 and SC Geo Midsize grip. Plays 36”. Comes with Scotty’s Custom Shop JYD mid-round that matches the build. $650 shipped CONUS”

Srixon Zxi7 4-PW

You can even find brand new sets of irons on the BST! Here we have some really soft Srixon ZXi7 players cavity backs that still have the plastic on the heads. Shaft up with Project X 6.0 shafts and featuring Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grips in standard size. If these shafts and specs fit your swing, you can save about $400 buying this set.

“Srixon Zxi7 4-Pw Brand new in plastic. Project X 6.0 Rifle shafts, Tour velvet cord grips std size logo down. Std Lie length and loft. $1000 Shipped”

L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Custom Putter

L.A.B. offers a lot of custom options when ordering, and this OZ.1i HS got a few boxes checked. The blue finish and dual alignment lines give it a very sports car look while being functional. L.A.B. uses a unique hosel system for the HS putters, and this one has a lie angle of 68 degrees, 2 degrees flat, so the hosel is slightly shorter to make sure the Lie Angle Balance technology stays consistent. This putter even has the Gears graphite shaft upgrade to give it a firmer and stiffer feel.

“Lab Golf OZ.1 HS Custom Putter. Upgraded Gears shaft and custom Blue Color. Small signs of use from normal wear and tear. $575”

Nike Victory Pro 4 NRG – 2025 Masters

If these are your size, then you can wear the same shoes Rory did when he won his first green jacket and completed the Grand Slam. The seller says these fit like a size 11, my size, so I am a little tempted to snag them up. The details on the tongue and the back of the shoe with the floral pattern scream Augusta in April, and these are brand new, but without the box.

“Nike Victory Pro 4 NRG – 2025 Masters – New – These are a size 12, but in my opinion fit like an 11. Bought these to wear (I’m a 12-12.5) and feel like these fit like the Jordan 11s. Could barely get my foot in. No box – $180”

Mizuno Pro M-15 Irons

It is always cool to see some of the latest releases for sale in the BST. This is a pretty cool build with Mizuno Pro M-15 hollow-body iron heads paired with Mitsubishi MMT 85 graphite shafts in stiff flex. I think this set should offer great distance and forgiveness in a player’s look, and the Iomic grips are a nice plus and likely an upcharge from Mizuno.

“Mizuno Pro M-15 irons, 6-PW with Mitsubishi MMT 85 stiff flex shafts. Hit outdoors twice, 9.5 out of 10 condition with Iomic grips. $750”

TaylorMade Spider ZT CB

While counterbalanced putters aren’t for everyone, like this seller, they are for a lot of us! This means that his failed experiment could be your new gamer, at a reduced price. The putter looks to be in good shape and they even added a new Garsen 17″ grip for those that prefer the shape and feel over the stock SuperStroke that came on it.

“TaylorMade Spider ZT 38”,  counterbalanced Garsen 17” grip. Thing is in great condition, just not for me. $400”

Most birdies without breaking par – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, one user is wondering how many birdies other players have had in a round while still failing to break par. @Lalan45, unfortunately, asked the question after a unique experience of their own.

They wrote:

“Today I managed 8 birdies but still shot even par, could have been a round to remember! What’s the most birdies you’ve made in a round and still didn’t break par?”

Our members in the forum shared their own experiences with successful rounds that still resulted in a score over par. Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • kwcsports: “I’ve had 5 a few times, still shot 80+ haha.”
  • jda: “I played a course for the first time, had 8 birdies, 9 doubles and an eagle. The infamous no-par round. I kept the scorecard. Every shot had a creek that I did not know about, or I was within 8-10 feet for a birdie look. To this day, I have no idea if I should be really jacked up or mad about that performance.”
  • jvincent: “I think my record is either 5 or 6. Probably shot 75.”
  • Instron4204: “3 birdies and shot a 92…man I suck!”

Best current stock shaft 2026 – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, one user is asking for thoughts on the best stock shafts offered in 2026. Stock shafts are the shafts included with a club when it’s purchased from retailers or OEMs.

@DTorres asked:

The last couple years has seen a lot of updates and additions to no upcharge stock shafts, which do you think is the best offering in 2026?

Im a bit of a shaft nerd and recently during my Members Testing with the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond I found the updated Project X Denali Frost Black to be a fantastic stock shaft. I absolutely did not mesh well with the original Denali. Just curious what other people think are the current best Stock shaft offerings out with new models and stock Ventus options and LinQ options popping up here and there.

We were given the option for any stock shafts for our members review. I went with the 70g Black Frost 6.5 because it’s a shaft I don’t have, it’s an updated version of the original Denali and hear little about. I typically use a Diamana WB, GD VF or a HOF Raptor. I’m not saying it was neck and neck with any of those but it was a pleasant surprise I’m not accustomed to in stock shaft offerings.

Our members in the forum have been offering up their own thoughts on the best stock shafts available in 2026. Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • rsballer10: “IMO – MCA Ka’ili White Darkwave, Tensei 1k Black/white, UST Lin-Q White. People are free to spend their money however they see fit, but for me personally the shaft catalogs these days have enough options that I don’t see the value of a $400 upcharge. I have never had a problem finding a no upcharge shaft that fits the bend profile and weight that I need. Whether the paint job is good enough or not is above my pay scale.”
  • bcflyguy1: “Project X Titan Black. I’ve had one in 60TX in my Quantum TD Max for several weeks now. Have to give Titlieist their flowers for finding a way to make it available as a featured option; very shrewd bit of business and one that I suspect will be duplicated by the other companies. TT/PX have a certified banger on their hands with Titan.”
  • CTG77: “Undoubtedly, it’s the Tensei 1K RIP shafts from Titleist. The Tensei line gives about 98% of the performance of a Ventus VeloCore+ shaft at a tiny fraction of the cost if you’re looking for a blue or red profile. The white is not an exact match for Ventus Black, but it’s closer to it than the non-VeloCore+ Ventus shafts that come from Callaway or formerly came from TaylorMade.”
