Are you surprised these are the best-selling golf books on Amazon?

Published

on

As you know, at GolfWRX, we are creatures of the buy-sell-trade forum, observers of the hottest releases from major OEMs, and, of course, connoisseurs of tour equipment (as visible in our weekly WITBs from the PGA Tour). It’s worth remembering, however, for good or ill, that there are other avenues folks travel in the golf equipment, accessories, and apparel worlds, including the world’s largest online retailer, Amazon. It is with curiosity, and perhaps sometimes repulsion, that we like to check out what the golfing public is purchasing from “the everything store.”

With respect to golf books, we took a look this morning at the best-sellers in the category and were certainly intrigued by the results.

Here are the current top five best-selling golf books on Amazon.

5. Together We Roared by Steve Williams

Just released, Tiger Woods’ former caddie’s account of their 12-year run is resonating with readers. 4.4/5 stars after 150-plus reviews.

Price: $17.13

Buy here.

4. The Unconquerable Game by Ely Callaway

Another recent title, the late Ely Callaway’s unpublished memoir of his life and business is taken to the finish line by his son Nick.

Price: $32.52

Buy here.

3. Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book

What can you say? This enduring compilation of the long-time pro’s golf wit, wisdom, and practical instruction continues to sell.

Price: $13.57

2. The Four Foundations of Golf by John Sherman

As the item description states, “The Four Foundations of Golf will give you the blueprint to build a stronger, longer-lasting game. This is not your typical, fluffy golf guide that leaves all the important details out. Since 2015, Practical Golf has been one of the top online game-improvement resources for golfers. Jon Sherman has written hundreds of articles, sharing his perspective as a player-coach. You can finally get all of the methods he’s used to become a scratch golfer and coach other golfers in one complete guide.” 4.7/5 stars after more than 1,000 reviews.

Price: $17.46

Buy here.

1. Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons

The foundational text of modern golf instruction. Whether you ascribe to the notion that golfers ought to try to swing like the Hawk or not, if you’re a golfer, you ought to be familiar with his philosophy.

Price: $19.60

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
