Limited-edition Masters accessories roundup

Published

on

Every year The Masters brings out some the most creative and fun limited-edition golf accessories. We love seeing large manufacturers and small boutique brands show off their Masters influences with bags, headcovers, balls, and other items that are hard to get your hands on. Here are some of the best accessories we have seen this week.

Srixon

They went all out this year with multiple bags from the traditional staff bag to a small Sunday bag that blends brown and green for the first major of the year. Srixon of course has some matching headcovers, hats, and towels to celebrate.

Callaway

The creative team at Callaway looks to have been inspired by The Masters property being a former nursery and all of the beautiful flowers still on the grounds. Chrome Tour golf balls with a floral pattern and the 706 area code will be available as part of the 2025 Major Series. The staff bag that Callaway staff members will use this week will have plenty of green with matching white headcovers that feature a similar floral pattern as the golf balls.

TaylorMade

Peaches are of course the fruit Georgia is known for a TaylorMade included them in their new staff bag for this week. On the outside the bag is white and metallic green but the linings inside the pockets are quite peachy. Green headcovers with pink and white flowers go well with the bag and give it an even more Masters feel. TaylorMade also created a special version of the TP5 and TP5x Stripe golf balls with a ring of pink flowers that runs a full 360 around the ball.

Cobra

Sending Flowers is the series of headcovers and golf bag that Cobra is bringing to us for the first major of the year. Each headcover is white with different color and style of flower on it. The matching stand bag is made by Vessel in white leather with a unique Cobra logo that is filled with flowers on a light blue background. Cobra also launched a Season Opener driver with custom mural on the sole and even a Project X HZRDUS Gen5 Black shaft with matching graphics.

Tour Edge

This year is Bernhard Langer’s 41st and last Masters appearance. To send off the 2-time Masters Champion Tour Edge has created the “41 Collection” staff bag with matching headcovers. Both are classic white with green text and trim that resemble to me the caddie jumpsuits we will see all week. While custom irons have not been promoted by Tour Edge, there is a great shot of a Langer iron head in a nice frame that is paint-filled with the Masters green and yellow.

Bridgestone

Bridgestone also went heavy on the peaches with their Peach Reserve collection. They joined up with Hanna Putters to create a beautiful milled putter with peaches engraved on the sole. The putter is milled from 303 stainless steel, features a branze PVD finish, and has a Best Grips Horween Dublin Leather putter grip installed. The rest of the collection features a vintage feel and tribute to 1935, the year Bridgestone was founded.

Golf Pride

Golf Pride’s Honorary Starter collection includes some custom green swing grips, a Reverse Taper putter grip with a Masters mural on it, and a valuables pouch printed with many different trees and flowers from the club. The swing grips are Tour Velvet with flower inspiration on the top and bottom of the grip while the Reverse Taper putter grip features iconic greens and features from the tournament.

CBS’s Sunday Masters coverage slammed by golf fans

Published

on

While Sunday was a dramatic day at the Masters, many golf fans were left feeling frustrated by the CBS final round coverage.

There were plenty of moments that golf fans took to social media to air their frustrations on Sunday over, including a lack of shots being shown throughout the day, being behind the live action, confusion over the approach shots of the final group on 18, and providing an angle for the winning putt where the cup couldn’t be seen.

Here’s a look at some of the criticisms that were directed at the CBS coverage throughout the day on X:

It’s rare criticism coming in for CBS, who are usually heavily praised for their Masters coverage each year.

The surprise club Tommy Fleetwood says is key to his Masters chances

Published

on

Tommy Fleetwood goes in search for the first major victory of his career again this week, with the Englishman proving to be a popular pick at Augusta National.

Fleetwood’s best showing at Augusta came back in 2024 where he finished T3, and while speaking at his pre-tournament press conference, the 35-year-old emphasized the importance of his 9-wood in his pursuit of the green jacket.

Speaking on Tuesday to media, Fleetwood said:

“It’s a great 9-wood golf course. I think it’s always been — I can’t remember when I first put like a 9-wood in or a high lofted club, but it’s a perfect like 9-wood golf course. I’ve had that in the bag for a few years.”

The Englishman continued, revealing that his strategy for the week won’t just be to hit driver off the tee as much as possible:

“Yeah, it’s funny really because I know Augusta is probably associated with being fairly forgiving off the tee in a way, so you think you can whale around driver a little bit. But I don’t necessarily think that’s always the play for me. I think there’s holes that set up really well where I can draw it with the mini driver if I’m feeling less comfortable with the driver and things like that.”

That strategy he believes will make his TaylorMade Qi10 9-wood extra critical this week in Georgia:

“The biggest thing is the 9-wood for me. If I can put myself in position on the par-5s or the 4th long par-3, like it — for me, I can’t really hit that high 4-iron, so 9-wood helps me a lot.”
