Reflecting on my 30 years in the golf industry and my journey as a PGA Professional for the last 15, I am grateful for everything this game has given me. My experiences on the course and within the golf community have shaped my life in ways I could never have anticipated.

Golf has granted me countless opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. As a coach, sharing my passion for the game with my students is a true joy. Witnessing someone hit their first great shot or observing their progress over time fills me with pride. Each lesson is not just about imparting technical skills; it’s an opportunity to inspire patience and perseverance—qualities that are vital in golf—watching my students grow as players and as individuals is one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

I am grateful for numerous opportunities appearing on the Golf Channel.

I genuinely cherish the camaraderie I have developed over the years. The relationships I have built with fellow professionals, colleagues, and friends—bonded by our shared love for the sport—are incredibly special. The golf community feels like a family, a network of individuals who support one another during challenging times and celebrate successes together.

Through golf, I’ve discovered a profound appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us. As I’ve traveled to various tournaments and courses, such as Augusta National, for 12 Masters Tournaments, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing breathtaking landscapes that truly take your breath away. A golf course’s beauty is an excellent reminder of the beauty that surrounds us in all aspects of our lives.

Having spent decades in this industry, I recognize golf as a constant source of inspiration and personal growth. The game has taught me resilience in the face of adversity, the importance of integrity and sportsmanship, and the value of learning from others as much as leading them. These lessons have greatly influenced my life, both on and off the course.

Finally, I am grateful for the perpetual challenge that golf presents. My desire to improve stays strong after 45 years of playing and over 30 years of working in the sport. This continuous journey toward mastery keeps the game fresh and engaging, reminding me that there’s always more to learn.

As I gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, my heart is filled with appreciation for a game that has brought me joy and fulfillment for so long. Golf has taught me invaluable lessons, gifted me with beautiful moments, and connected me with an amazing community. I look forward to what lies ahead, both on the course and in life.
