One-on-one fittings via Zoom: Ping introduces Tele-Fit Experience

Published

on

Ping has always been a leader in custom fitting golf clubs, and once again they are at the forefront of technology and consumer innovation thanks to the introduction of the Ping Tele-Fit Experience.

Launching immediately, the Tele-Fitting Experience offers a private face-to-face consultation with one of Ping’s Master Fitters via Zoom conferencing. This includes fitters responsible for the VIP fitting experience at Ping headquarters in Phoenix, as well as reps that work on both the PGA and LPGA Tours.

I had the chance to connect with Ping VP of Fitting Marty Jertson to talk about the new initiative and how it came to be.

RB: Is Tele-Fitting  Experience this something you’ve been working on for a while, and you just decided to release now?

MJ: We have always been about innovation and have had this in the works for some time now, but the current situation certainly allowed us to expedite part of the process so we could introduce this to consumers. As many people might know, PING has had a number of online fitting tools available for customers to use on their own, but with Tele-Fit you we give golfers the opportunity to go through our new WEBFIT program along with one of our PING master fitters. We’ve been using data for a long time and have a number of internal pieces of software for both research and development purposes, and to help offer the best information to our fitters to help golfers play better golf.

RB: How “into the weeds” can you get through the Tele-fitting experience?

MJ: We still encourage golfers to see a fitter in person whenever possible for a dynamic fitting, but the benefit of working with a fitter while going through WEBFIT tools means we can get quite in-depth. We can utilize video of both full swing and putting strokes to go beyond just the question and anser process thanks to Zoom and it gives our fitters the opportunity to look at player dynamics.

Not only that but if a player has their current specs, and their launch conditions available our Master Fitters can go into further detail by utilizing software on the backend to offer club specs.

For more information or to book your Ping Tele-Fitting Experience, check out the company website.

on

A reminder from your friends at GolfWRX: Father’s Day is June 21. And as we do every year, we’re rounding up the best gifts for dad.

As we say every year, there’s no better golf-related Father’s Day gift than a round of golf with pops. Be it a country club or your favorite muni, take the time to get together to play 18 if you can.

Let’s get to the gifts.

We like the new polos that Ghost is offering, as the fabric and fit are so good. These new Qualifier Collection polos breathe well, are lightweight, stretch with your swing, and of course look great. You can wear them on the course, in the office, or just out at a casual event and they will fit right in.

Why Golf: Putting Thing

When it comes to practice, it is good to have a purpose. This “Putting Thing” sure does it. We know from personal experience how challenging it can be and how rewarding it is on the practice green. This also provides some competition for your kiddo to see who will unload the dishwasher or do the next chore around the house.
