Snedeker takes Tour Championship and FedExCup title

Published

on

Brandt Snedeker finished 10-under par at Tour Championship presented by Coca-Cola to win the tournament as well as the PGA Tour’s Playoffs for the FedExCup.

Snedeker was one of the top-5 players in FedExCup points entering the Tour’s final playoff event, meaning that he was guaranteed the $10-million FedExCup prize if he won the tournament. He did so by three shots, carding three birdies on the back nine to shoot 68 and hold off Justin Rose by three shots.

Snedeker took in $1.4 million by winning the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Combine that with his $10 million FedExCup prize, and the Sea Island, Ga., resident had an $11.4 million payday.

With the PGA Tour across the border in Canada this week, GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore stayed stateside and headed to the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo, Texas.

It’s always interesting to see what the guys are playing on the KFT, and this week certainly hasn’t disappointed so far, with some incredible wedge stamping on display.
