Food/drinks named after golfers: Tiger, Palmer, Daly, now Nicklaus
Jack Nicklaus, golf’s most-decorated major champion, now joins the list of golfers with food and beverages named after them.
Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream
The Golden Bear turned ice-cream entrepreneur will release his own line of ice cream on, which will be available in seven flavors:
- Coffee and Donuts
- Warm Spiced Butter Pecan (not pictured)
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl
- Salted Caramel Toffee
- Strawberry Lemonade
- Homemade Vanilla
- Triple Chocolate
He teamed up with The Schwan Food Company, and the pint-sized ice cream will be available in Kroger, Bi-Lo and Winn Dixie at selected locations for $1.99 a pint.
Arnold Palmer Tea
Arnold Palmer Tea originally consisted of a mixture of half iced tea, half lemonade — a combination universally known as an “Arnold Palmer.” The Arizona Beverage Company has recently expanded its Arnold Palmer beverage line with more flavors, including the Arnold Palmer DRIVE, which is a performance energy drink.
The youthful, exuberant Palmer certainly knew how to energize a crowd in his playing days, especially the members of Arnie’s Army.
Arizona’s Arnold Palmer line also offers powder sticks and water-enhancers.
But the original iced tea and lemonade mixture, which was the premise behind the popular “This is SportsCenter” commercial, will always be the real Arnold Palmer beverage.

In 2012, Jack Nicklaus also came out with his own lemonade beverage, called Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Lemonade. That means you can wash down your Jack Nicklaus ice cream with a can of Jack Nicklaus lemonade.
Tiger Woods Gatorade
Although the partnership ended between Tiger Woods and Gatorade in 2010, Tiger’s line of Gatorade, which featured flavors Quiet Storm, Cool Fusion and Red Drive, will live on in golfers hearts and taste buds forever.
Never forget.
John Daly Food and Beverage
Yes, long-hitting John Daly has his own line of pizza restaurants. John Daly Pizza is a “371 yard drive down the middle. Grip It and Eat It!”
Daly, who’s a song-writing rockstar and Loudmouth pants-wearing entrepreneur, also has a drink named after him.
A “John Daly” drink universally consists of iced tea, lemonade and vodka, and can also be made with lemonade and sweet tea vodka. If it sounds like an “Arnold Palmer” with an infusion of vodka, that’s because it is.
“Grip It and Sip It!”

What GolfWRXers are saying about Kevin Kisner’s new Callaway X Forged CB irons
In our forums, our members have been discussing Kevin Kisner’s new Callaway X Forged CB irons which he has in the bag at this week’s CJ Cup. WRXers have been commenting on the switch and the clubs themselves in our forums.
For lots more photos, check out the full thread here.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- btyh: “Holy offset.”
- Glf_LU: “These are interesting. Not going to make a rush to judgement until I see them in person. It does look like a little more offset than I would expect to see in this model.”
- bcflyguy1: “Kisner is not one to make a lot of equipment changes (see the GBB driver he’s still using), so if these do have staying power in his bag that will be interesting to see. I have to wonder if there’s something different about his set, because like others have mentioned there appears to be more offset on his than I recall seeing in the samples I’ve had in hand.”

WATCH: PGA Tour players play hole blindfolded and it’s hilarious/amazing
As part of a Srixon campaign, four PGA Tour players recently participated in a three-hole challenge, with each hole being a different game; hole No. 1 was blindfolded, hole No. 2 was costumes and distractions, and hole No. 3 was alternate shot with a baseball bat. The teams were Smylie Kaufman and Sam Ryder against Shane Lowry and Grayson Murray.
Watch the full video below, since it is quite entertaining (albeit not the type of golf that Old Tom Morris surely had in mind), but in particular, make sure to check out the first hole where Lowry and Ryder play a full hole completely blind folded. It’s amazing to watch how badly Ryder struggles, and how Lowry nearly makes par.
What happens when 4 #PGATOUR pros take a day off?
Luckily, the cameras were rolling.

Cleveland-Srixon’s marketing department has been hard at work crafting these viral-esque ad campaigns; if you remember, former long-drive champion Jamie Sadlowski recently dressed as 80-year-old Grandpa Jamie to fool range-goers. That video has since gathered over 1.2 million views on YouTube.
