With the PGA Tour across the border in Canada this week, GolfWRX Tour Photographer Greg Moore stayed stateside and headed to the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo, Texas.

Not sure where the discrepancy lies, but KBS announced he used C Taper shafts to win the US Am. They sent out an email stating three of the last four winners of the US Am. have used C-Taper shafts. I wonder if he switched last minute?

Im guessing he is saying that because as the U.S. Amateur champion this guy has access to all the equipment he wants. I think it’s awesome that he isn’t tied down and plays what he wants, some great clubs in that bag…

I was referring to the fact that the young man plays at a level where “tour van” equipment is the norm. For him to be playing with clubs that are 3+ years old says something (especially on the WRX). Check out the members witb section… Still think I’m foolin’ then probe through the pro tournament witb and find one of college tournaments and look at the equipment those guys/gals are playing. A lot of them (not all) are playing what’s current. The R11 and the 910 are closer to 5 years than 3 but whatever.

Congrats to Yang!!! What a way to cap off the summer season. Nice bag too… An R11 driver, a 910 fwy wood, a 2 iron, and SM4 wedges… He’s toting a bag full of vintage non-sponsored character. Great victory!!!

Damn if his clubs are vintage then mine are prehistoric, lol! Wow what a mindset the equipment industry has created. I guess that’s proof in advertising.
