TaylorMade SLDR Hybrid for sale on eBay

Published

on

Through the years, we at GolfWRX have become accustomed to seeing new product photos leak well before their launch dates. But what we’re not used to seeing is embargoed products leak on eBay, which is what happened this weekend with TaylorMade’s new SLDR hybrid.

The adjustable 18.5-degree hybrid, which has a buy-it-now price of $349.99 (about double what we expect the club to cost when it hits stores), has a size and shape that’s consistent with TaylorMade hybrids, as well cosmetics that are similar to TaylorMade’s SLDR driver and fairway woods. It also has the same speed pocket that was present on TaylorMade’s new SLDR fairway wood that we spotted at the Tour Championship.

The seller is says that the club is a “sample … still in plastic.” It is located in Leesburg, Ga., and has a stiff-flex RocketFuel hybrid shaft but no SLDR headcover. Most surprising is the seller’s history. He or she has a 60 positive feedback scores and 60 other items currently for sale, but none of them are golf clubs.

The seller has sold golf equipment before, especially gear made by TaylorMade-adidas. But from what we can tell, he or she has never sold anything like this is the past. That why we (as well as TaylorMade when they catch wind of the sale) are scratching our heads to understand how the club got into the hands of an eBay seller.

I wander if the seller made this form a 3d printer and is now trying to sell it for more than what the fairway wood will cost. its a scam

Apparently, the person either saw this article or was contacted by Taylormade as the item was pulled and is no longer for sale. What’s messed up is that the shaft and grip are from the RBZ stage 2 hybrid since they are both black and gold. The new Sldr driver is a black grip and the new Speedblade has a black and blue grip. I would think the new sldr hybrid would either have an all black or black and blue grip.

Plenty of sheep out there who don’t know crap about nothing who would buy this in a heartbeat. Not everybody reads GolfWRX.

You can see his face in the picture. Looks like Rory to me, probably been gathering what he can while the rest of the players are preparing for post-cut rounds.

Slab city on the Korn Ferry Tour — Lead Tape Report

Published

on

This week, we have our Tour Photographer, Greg Moore, on the ground at the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, for the 14th event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. With that, we see some great things in the Lead Tape Report as we roll into Amarillo.

Joel Thelen

Monday Qualifier, Joel Thelen is in the field this week. He has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for a full season in 2023, and he is back in action this week. A couple of clubs caught my eye this week in his bag.

First off: His trusted Titleist 816 H2 hybrid. This club came out in October of 2015, and it still remains strong in the bag. Also, take a look at this Odyssey White Hot OG 7, putting a capital S in the 7S model. This custom neck has some impressive lean for an arm-lock-style putter. The bottom of the putter is covered in tape for optimal weighting.

Mitchell Meissner

Taking a look at Mitchell Meissner’s bag this week, we have some great lead tape coverage. Top to bottom working from fairway metals, irons, and wedges. We can see on the short irons and wedges that there is tape at the base of the grip, adding a little counterbalance. Along with that, some tape on the short irons and wedges as well. Moving to his putter, he rolls the Odyssey 7 Bird putter. Meissner putts left-handed and strikes the ball right-handed.
