‘These f—–g drones every time’ – Jon Rahm not loving drones at LIV event

Published

on

Jon Rahm showed some signs of life in Nashville during last week’s LIV event. The two-time major champion was forced to withdraw from the U.S. Open a few weeks ago, but says the injury is now healed.

Early during his fourth round of LIV Nashville while he was only two shots off the lead, the Spaniard ripped his tee shot left into the water. Rahm blamed the drone overhead for his errant shot.

“Every tournament. It’s fucking incredible. Right on my backswing. These f****ng drones every time.”

Rahm still shot -3 on his round, finishing in a tie for 3rd place. He will tee it up next at LIV Valderrama in a few weeks.

Dave Portnoy fumes at 18th hole protestors before landing yet another huge Scottie Scheffler gamble

Published

on

The founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, has recently taken up golf betting, riding with Scottie Scheffler at extremely short odds on what seems like a weekly basis.

On Sunday, Scheffler was once again in the lead during the final round of the Travelers Championship when protestors stormed the 18th green prior to Scottie and his playing partner Tom Kim, attempting their putts.

The protestors were tackled and taken out in handcuffs by police.

Despite the protestors slowing things down, Portnoy still got his desired outcome. Scheffler was able to defeat Tom Kim in the first playoff hole after the South Korean missed the green and was faced with a fried egg in the bunker. Scottie made par and Tom made bogey, resulting in Portnoy’s $180k wager coming in.

The win was the sixth for Scheffler in his last ten starts.

The amusing reason why Scottie Scheffler refused to sign autograph for spectator at Travelers Championship

Published

on

Earlier this week, the Boston Celtics won the 2024 NBA Championship, defeating the Dallas Mavericks in five games.

Scottie Scheffler, who’s a Mavericks fan, arrived at the Travelers Championship this week, which of course will have plenty of Celtics fan being in New England region.

According to Scottie, a fan at the course asked him to sign his Celtics hat and the two-time major champion refused to do so.

Last year, Celtics fan Keegan Bradley won at TPC River Highlands, so Scheffler is out for revenge after a lackluster performance at last week’s U.S. Open.

‘If Steve Williams was Rory’s caddie…’ – Tiger Woods’ ex-coach highlights key moment in Rory McIlroy’s U.S. Open collapse

Published

on

With Rory McIlroy coming up short in yet another major championship, there have been plenty of opinions shared on social media about what the superstar needs to do to win another.

Hank Haney, who was once the coach of Tiger Woods, shared his opinion on X on Tuesday.

“I will say this, if Steve Williams was Rory’s caddie I can promise you he would have never hit a perfect flighted 7 iron that rolled over the green on 15 into a terrible lie because he would have hit an 8 iron and sent it straight up in the air and held the green.”

Haney also added: “Wrong club, wrong shot, bad plan.”

Harry Diamond has been McIlroy’s caddie since 2017 and is one of the Northern Irishman’s closest friends.

McIlroy will take a few weeks off before teeing it up at the Genesis Scottish Open a week before the Open Championship at Royal Troon.
