Dustin Johnson changes SIM drivers; floors volunteer with wild drive

Published

on

The World Number One is on top once again at this week’s Saudi International, and he is doing so after making a big switch at the top of his bag.

Johnson teed it up at the start of the year with the new TaylorMade SIM2 driver but has switched back to the original SIM this week in Saudi Arabia.

The 36-year-old’s swing coach Butch Harmon is reported to have put the switch down to more testing being needed before Johnson bags the new SIM2 permanently.

Although DJ is currently on top of the leaderboard in Saudi, he was involved in a very unfortunate incident during Friday’s round after a wild drive drilled a volunteer.

Johnson will take a two stroke lead into the final round of the Saudi International on Sunday.
